How Much CBD and CBDa Should You Take?

How much CBD and CBDa should you take when trying our Tanasi products? And what do these little letters stand for? Well, CBD stands for cannabidiol and CBDa stands for cannabidiolic acid, and our research shows that taking these compounds together, using our patent-pending, 1:1 formulation, delivers 2X the results of taking CBD alone.

Now, that doesn’t mean you should down a full bottle of tincture, soft gels or gummies in one dose. (While you can’t dangerously overdose on these compounds, taking too much of a good thing could leave you with unwanted side effects. But more on that later.) So, how much CBD and CBDa should you take?

Well, if you’re hoping to dive into the world of hemp extracts, but you need a bit more information, you’ve come to the right place! Today, we’ll go over the suggested dosing guidelines for hemp-extracts, along with any potential side effects. We hope you’ll come along for the ride!

Are There Benefits of CBD and CBDa:

It’s important to remember that scientific studies regarding CBD and CBDa benefits are only beginning to emerge. So, at this time, all we can tell you is that you’ll have to try these compounds for yourself to see how they make you feel.

But, if you need a bit more information than that, you can hear what some of our loyal Tanasi customers have to say. Because, as Maryrose J says of her CBD and CBDa experience, “What great relief! I need to buy more products from this company.”

Of course, trying our CBD and CBDa supplements for the first time can be complicated. Your body and your lifestyle will affect your optimal dose size. And the amount you apply or consume will determine the nature of your experience. We know, it’s a lot to take in, but we’re here to help you break down the science of finding your perfect CBDa and CBD dose and experience.

Factors To Consider When Determining CBD + CBDa Dose:

Body Weight

Your body weight is perhaps the most important factor in determining your optimal CBD and CBDa dose. The same holds true with many other supplements or vitamins you may wish to try. After all, if you weigh a lot, you’ll need more active ingredients than someone with a lower weight. Therefore, you should enter into the hemp-supplementation process knowing that your dose size increases with your weight. If you’re not sure where to begin, we always recommend talking to a licensed healthcare provider to come up with a personalized dosing routine and key safety guidance.

What You Are Using It for

Depending on your goals, your dose size will vary. If you want a relatively mild experience, your CBD and CBDa dose should range from 2.5 to 20mg each day. But studies show you may need a higher dose, somewhere between 40 and 160mg, to get more noticeable results. Finally, if you want to experience any of the results that have been replicated in the emerging research on these compounds? Well, in that case, you’d probably have to take anywhere between 40-100mg/day of CBD + CBDa. Keep in mind, though, that at that dose level, some people will experience unwanted side effects, as you’ll learn about more later on in the post. So keep your CBD + CBDa goals and experiences in mind and talk with your healthcare provider when deciding on your initial dose size.

Everyone Is Different

Our bodies are unique. The dose that helped your friend could be completely ineffective when you take the same amount. Therefore, your dose will be determined by your individual body chemistry. Of course, you can’t just look inside and know how your body will process CBD and CBDa, so finding your optimal dose will involve a lot of trial and error.

To help you get it right, start with a very low dose for your body size (to help you determine what that means for you, all our products contain body-weight (and desired effect level) based dosing guidelines on their individual labels. If you experience your desired effect, congratulations: you’ve found your perfect dose! If not, you can gradually increase your dose, at an interval around 10mg, allowing several days between increases to make sure your body adjusts properly.

Using this method, you should be able to find the right dose for your individual body chemistry. But to help you know when you’ve found that just-right amount, consider creating a log or diary to track your data, as this can help you determine when you’ve found the right balance.

The Product You Are Taking

When it comes to your CBD + CBDa experience, the effects you notice will vary based on size of your does, the potency of your product, as well as the form of CBD and CBDa and delivery method you select. Certain delivery methods, such as tinctures, deliver more efficient doses than other forms because you absorb them directly under your tongue. This allows it to directly enter your bloodstream, without first having to go through your digestive system.

The form of products offered is also important: here at Tanasi, we carry CBD and CBDa products that come as full-spectrum or broad-spectrum supplements. That means that, in our full-spectrum products, we’ve preserved all of the hemp-plants natural components. And in our broad-spectrum products, we’ve taken all that hemp-plant goodness for you to try, but we’ve gotten rid of any THC, so that you don’t have to ingest even the legally acceptable amount of this supplement contained in our full-spectrum products.

Can You Take Too Much CBD + CBDa? Does CBD Cause Side Effects?

The most commonly reported side effects of CBD oil are tiredness, diarrhea, and minor changes in appetite or weight. But you’d have to take a lot of CBD and CBDa to experience these effects. In fact, studies show that humans can tolerate chronic use of high doses (up to 1,500 mg per day). Therefore, you’re unlikely to experience any of these side effects if you stick to recommended dosing guidelines. And, should you ever feel unwanted effects after taking your CBD and CBDa dose, take a day or two off from supplementing before trying again, at a lower dose then you previously were taking.

Summary

We hope this guide has helped you gain a better understanding of what to expect when you take our CBD and CBDa products. But if you just remember one thing, we hope it’s this: stick to high-quality CBD oil products. Because there has been such an uptick in demand, many manufacturers and brands are taking advantage of unsuspecting customers.

Before you purchase any form of CBD, whether from us or a competitor, look for proof of product quality, in the form of ingredients lists and third-party scientific testing. That is exactly what we offer at Tanasi: the highest quality product, packed with scientifically validated nutritional supplements. We invite you to explore our range of full-spectrum and broad spectrum CBD and CBDa products after speaking with your licensed health care provider.
