We created the Tanasi GOLD tincture line of products to our online store based on customer feedback. Tanasi GOLD products represent our premium line of our patent-pending 1:1 formulation of CBD and CBDA. These two cannabinoids are the best of two unique hemp plants along with optimal extraction methods. The final result is a pure, golden, Full Spectrum CBD + CBDA blend that delivers an unmatched experience. It is our pleasure to introduce to you to our Tanasi GOLD 3600mg CBD plus CBDA concentrated full-spectrum tincture, reflecting the highest concentrated tincture that we sell. But before we get up close and personal with Tanasi GOLD, let’s take a closer look a what constitutes a tincture.
Tinctures are products infused with concentrated, plant-based compounds. To create our full-spectrum tinctures, our Tanasi team mixes hemp extracts (with their sticky consistency) into medium chain triglycerides (MCT) sourced from coconut oil. That creates our fluid tincture. And, when you use on our tinctures, it becomes easier to supplement these plant-based ingredients, especially when the concentrates mix with something called a carrier oil.
A carrier oil is simply an ingredient added to another fluid ingredient that helps make it easier to control and for your body to absorb plant-based compounds. There are many different oils you can use for this purpose. But some of the most common choices include fish oil, palm, MCT, coconut, avocado, olive, hemp (from seeds) or grape seed and sesame oil. While any of these oils can help you access plant-based extracts, they can also cause other body effects—both positive and negative—when digested.
When you choose to use any one of our Tanasi tinctures, the plant compounds inside reflect the full spectrum of hemp extracts pulled from Cannabis Sativa L (low THC hemp) flowers. More importantly, it includes our patent-pending formula of cannabidiol (CBD) + cannabidiolic acid (CBDa), which research suggests is more than twice as effective as CBD alone, or the optimal version of CBD!
Alongside the hemp-extracts, we choose to use medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil in our tincture. But what is this substance? And why is it a good carrier oil for CBD products? Keep reading to find out.
MCT oil is a product concentrated with medium chain triglycerides (MCT), a kind of saturated fat that contains between six (6) and twelve (12) carbon atoms. In contrast, long chain triglycerides, or LCT, are composed of 13 to 21 carbon atoms. And SCT, or short chain triglycerides, are made of fewer than six (6) carbon atoms.
Now, you may be asking: why would anyone care about how many atoms are in their oils? Well, as it turns out, your liver can easily absorb MCTs, so you can quickly use the energy they contain. But it’s harder for your body to absorb LCTs. As a result, their energy may get stored as fat, proving to be less beneficial for your overall well-being.
In some circles, MCT oil has become known as a superfood ingredient. It features prominently in a typical Keto diet. Still, most healthcare professionals recommend limiting your daily intake of saturated fats. So it’s best to enjoy small daily doses of this substance, as you would when it’s just one of several ingredients in a tincture.
For best results, you should dose a tincture sublingually (which means under your tongue). But how does that work exactly?
For starters, select your desired dosage. If you fill the 1 ml dropper included with your product packaging, that means you’ll get an 120 mg dose. The 3600mg tincture comes in a 30mL, or one ounce (1oz.) bottle size. Thus, you get a 30-day supply of 120mg per day based on the assumption that you consume 1mL per day.
Now, in a minute, we’ll help you decide how much CBD you’ll want to take each day. But, before that, let’s return to explaining how you should take a tincture dose. First, fill that dropper to the desired level (half a dropper is 60mg, just like a full dropper is 120mg). Then, squeeze the liquid under your tongue and close your mouth without swallowing. Now, hold the liquid in place for at least 30 seconds but for up to two minutes if you can. Our mouth has the ability to absorb small molecules quickly and effectively. Finally, you can swallow the MCT oil and go about your day.
In our experience, people get the most out of their CBD+CBDa experience when they develop a daily dosing routine. But as for when, or how often, you should take your tincture? That’s a personal decision. Some people like to include a tincture dose as part of their nighttime wind-down routine. Others, like Tanasi customer David D., say “I can take a quarter of a dropper when I just need to maintain, or up to a full dropper when I need an extra strength dose. A bottle will last me well over a month.” If that’s the case for you, it may be wise to take your tincture in the morning, and you will find what you prefer as you experiment with daytime and nighttime routines.
So, that answers the question of when to try our CBD + CBDa tincture. But how much should you take each day? Again, that is a very personal decision. But, as a general rule of thumb, your CBD dose should be based upon factors like your weight, height and desired level of experience, lifestyle, and habits. And, to help you figure out where to begin, we include a suggested dosing guide with all of our Tanasi products, giving weight-range suggestions that should yield mild, moderate or strong effects.
Once you become familiar with how CBD affects you, you’ll be able to fine tune your exact dose and find the perfect amount. Until then? We suggest starting with the lowest recommended dose size for your weight range. From there, you can gradually adjust the amount of CBD+CBDa you consume each day, until you enjoy your desired results.
When you receive your tincture shipment from our online store, you’ll notice something extra special about the packaging, aside from our proudly-displayed, made-in-Tennessee USA manufacturing information. So, what should you be looking for? On every recyclable box and glass tincture bottle, we include a scannable QR code that links to the Certificate of Analysis (COA) results for your product batch.
But what is a COA? It’s the results of a third-party lab test that quantifies the exact blend of active ingredients included in your product. Since CBD products aren’t yet fully regulated, buying items with an easily accessible COA is the best way to ensure that what you purchase is safe, legal and effective. All of our COAs test for Microbials (yeast and mold, aerobic bacteria, coliform, and salmonella), Potency (how many cannabinoids, and how much of each cannabinoid), Pesticides, Heavy Metals, Mycotoxins, and Residual Solvents. When you see “ND” that means there were none detected.
Now, before we go and leave you to get started on your CBD+CBDa journey, we want to share one final note on our 3600mg full-spectrum tincture. It provides users with a more concentrated dose of CBD, so you can explore a more noticeable experience without constantly having to reorder a product with lower concentrations. Still, it does have a distinct flavor, which Tanasi customer Thomas P. describes as an “Earthy tasting tincture.” So, since the natural taste is not for everyone, we also offer a blueberry-flavored tincture, that has terpenes (that are flavonoids) derived from hemp if that’s more up your alley! Check it out and tell us what you think!
